Jeni Boyns

Jeni has been acting for thirty years and teaching professionally for sixteen years.

​

From an early age she was passionate about the theatre and began her acting training at the age of 10 years old. This was followed by a degree in Theatre and Performance at Warwick University before she obtained her Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre from Trinity College, London.

​

A thirteen year career as a secondary Performing Arts teacher culminated in her becoming Head of Performing Arts and a Lead Practitioner for Teaching and Learning before she left mainstream education to pursue her own peripatetic business.

In the past thirty years Jeni has performed with a number of companies including Rainham Theatrical Society, Music Theatre Warwick and GDS Productions. She has taken on roles including Violet Newstead (9 To 5 the Musical), Penny Pingelton (Hairspray), Anne Haines (Strangers on a Train) amongst many others. Jeni has also directed many full scale productions and one act plays over the course of her career.

Most recently Jeni was seen on stage as Britches, one half of the comedy duo in Robin Hood and His Merry Men. She can also be seen on Amazon Prime as Madame Mordovia in the new original series, Elzaz.
